Mater TUNG’S Acupuncture
Master Tung’s Acupuncture differs greatly from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture that is typically taught in schools here in the USA and in China. ?Master Tung’s Acupuncture is truly a living treasure and storehouse of Classical Chinese Medicine. ?It is untouched by modern TCM and offers a glimpse into the family systems of Chinese medicine as it was taught in previous generations.
Currently many practitioners of acupuncture ?use a lot of needles and ?needle directly into the local area. ?Not so with Master Tung’s Acupuncture. For example, if a person has neck pain, a TCM trained acupuncturist would typically needle the neck area. ?But a Master Tung acupuncturist will apply a few needles to either the wrist, ankle, knee, shoulder, hip, or thigh to treat the pain. ?The advantage is very clear, as the patient can move the neck area and give feedback immediately to their acupuncturist after the insertion of the needles. ?When the needles are in the neck, you have to wait until they are removed to give feedback. For the acupuncturist, the flexibility of the method is extremely attractive.
Master Tung Ching-chang was probably the greatest Acupuncturist in the last generation in Taiwan. ?So great was his fame that he literally had over 100 patients per day in his small clinic. His fame was due to to his extraordinary effectiveness with acupuncture needles and he used only a few needles per treatment. He was an Acupuncturist in Taiwan for 26 years, and throughout that time, he allegedly treated over 40,000 patients, with about a quarter of them treated at no charge.
As a student and practitioner of Master Tung’s Acupuncture, my wish is that my practice benefits others in a practical, simple, direct, and economical manner and it is my hope that the reader will seek out a Master Tung Acupuncture practitioner to experience these amazing points- the same points I use daily in my clinic with amazing results.
